First Step to Qur'an

This course is for those students who wish to take their first steps into reading and writing the Arabic script of the Qur’an. Students will learn the alphabet with the correct pronunciation (Makhraj), will be able to recognise letters and vowels to read short verses from the Qur’an as well as essential supplications for Salaah. In this course we promise you will receive personal attention from an excellent teacher with special interpersonal and communication skills.Our aim in this course is to help you break down those barriers to vast oceans of knowledge.

Tajweed ul Qur'an (Level 1)

This level is for students who are able to read Arabic and know the Makharij in detail. In this level students will start to add beauty to their recitation by learning certain fundamental rules of Tajweed; especially the nasal sounds. The following rules will be learnt in this course: Noon as Saakinah/Tanween, Meem as Saakinah, Laam as Saakinah and Qalqalah. Our aim in this course is to help students improve their recitation of the Qur’an and recite fluently with the rules learnt in class based on the Tajweed books by Shaykh Ayman and exclusively produced notes tailored for this level.

Tajweed ul Qur'an (Level 2)

This level is for students who have completed Tajweed Level 1 or equivalent. Our aim in this level is to help students improve their recitation of the Qur’an and recite fluently with the new rules learnt in class. The following rules will be learnt in this course: Al Mudood, Hamzatul Wasl and the rules of Raa’. As with the previous levels, exclusive notes will be used to facilitate learning, with various dimensions of practical learning.

Tajweed ul Qur'an (Level 2 Advanced)

This level is for students who have completed Tajweed Level 2 or equivalent. Our aim in this level is to further help students improve their recitation by applying the already learned rules in the previous levels, completing most of the rules of Tajweed and give sufficient theory and practice to recite to a high standard. This advanced level concentrates on knowing the characteristics of the letters (as Sifaat) and some exceptional rules.

Tajweed ul Qur'an (Level 3 Tarteel)

This level is for those students who have successfully studied all rules up to Tajweed Level 2 Advanced and now wish to apply the rules through practice and learn how to recite the Qur’an in a slow measured rhythmic manner as ordered in the beautiful Qur’an “and recite the Qur’an in slow measured rhythmic tones “ [Surat Muzzammil, Ayah 4]. The rules pertaining to stopping and some exceptional rules will be taught. Students will be expected to memorise selected chapters of the Qur’an with the correct rulings as they near the end of the course.

Al-Maqra'ah (Recitation)

This course focuses on developing the fluency of recitation as well as revising the Makharij. The course is suitable for students of all levels and especially recommended for those who have completed the First Step to Qur’an course. Students will be provided individual support based on their individual needs to improve on letter recognition, pronunciation of letters and overall flow of reading.

Hifdh Ul Qur'an

This courses is for serious and committed students that can read the Qur’an fluently and have at least already studied Tajweed Level 1 (rules of Tajweed) or equivalent. In this course students will attempt memorising their chosen Juzz from the Qur’an with close monitoring and support from one of our qualified teachers. Successful students at the end of this course will progress onto memorising further chapters of the Qur’an within the Institute.

(aal’Imran v.79) Imam Muhammed alBukhari reports on the authority of Uthman who narrates from the Prophet as having said (what may mean), ‘The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it’.Through a committed understanding of our student community and in noting their expressive desire and motivation in wanting to understand the Glorious Speech of Allah we are honoured to present this three part programme as an introduction toward uncovering the meaning of the Qur'an.The programme seeks to furnish and develop students with an appreciative, working understanding of the chapters that comprise the 30th Juz'over three terms.Being a study of some of the most widely read Suwar (chapters), part 2 will host coverage of the chapters At-Takaathur to Al-Fajr.Participants will engage in a supervised, interactive learning process that will include:reading review of each Suraha general overview of each Surah
Word for word breakdown of each Aayah A comprehensive discussion highlighting the core themes, pertinent lessons and benefits derived from the Speech of the Creator.With English as the primary instruction medium this is a must attend course open to all as a gateway toward developing an acquiring the correct pre-requisites to truly understand the Qur'an in its original Arabic presentation in the future In ShaAllah.
